indent Abstract
The subject of this research is connection of the morphological and motor characteristics with the preference of defense to a positive attack from the program of special physical education. The research was done on a sample of 49 students of Higher school of Internal Affairs, divided into three groups pursuant to the preference of their defense. They were between 20 and 23. The battery of 17 morphological, 12 motor tests and 3 situational (criterion) variables was administered. Based on the results obtained by the statistic procedure, it was concluded that the groups are almost homogenous. However, certain differences were determined. From the space of motor variables, a statistically significant difference was obtained between the groups, at the test of speed power of the legs extensors(Abalac with the swing of arms) where the best results were obtained by the students who showed the best results by using the techniques of kicks and blocks. The explanation of this phenomenon is based on features and principles on which the techniques of blocks and kicks are based, so it can be expected that the students who have chosen such a defense should show the best results in the speed power of legs extensors. The next, statistically significant difference between the groups was obtained form the area of morphological variables. Namely, the highest middle value of the variable "shoulder width" was obtained in the group of students who showed the best results by the techniques of throwing. This phenomenon was explained through the characteristics of "morphologic sports type", i.e. characteristics of the students from this group. The results obtained by this research, could initiate different opinions regarding the creativity and approach to the training of special physical education and thus the need for further research of this issue.
